These terms and conditions govern the relationship between Tech Menders UK ("we", "us", "Darryl") and any individual or business ("you", "the customer") who engages our services. By requesting any service from Tech Menders UK, you agree to these terms in full.
Tech Menders UK provides IT repair, remote support, on-site support, data transfer, machine MOT services, and IT project work to residential and business customers across Manchester and surrounding areas.
If we are unable to repair your device, you will not be charged for the repair work. Diagnostic fees may apply in some cases and will always be agreed in advance.
Payment is due on-site at the time of the visit, or upon collection of your device. We accept cash and bank transfer.
Business customers are invoiced upon completion of work. Payment is due within 7 days of the invoice date. Late payments may incur interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act 1998.
All quotes are valid for 14 days. Invoices must be disputed within 7 days of receipt. After this period, invoices are deemed accepted.
Tech Menders UK strongly recommends all customers back up their data before any repair or service. We take all reasonable precautions to protect your data, but cannot be held liable for any data loss that occurs during the repair process.
We document the condition of your device upon receipt. Any pre-existing damage or faults unrelated to the agreed repair are not our responsibility.
All repairs carry a 30-day warranty covering the specific fault repaired. This does not cover new faults, physical damage, or issues unrelated to the original repair. Software-related repairs carry a 14-day warranty.
Tech Menders UK is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
The only personal data we hold about you is what is stored within our Tide business banking account and what you provide directly when contacting us. This includes:
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties for marketing purposes. Your bank details and payment information are stored securely within our Tide business account and are not shared or accessible to anyone outside of Tech Menders UK. Tide is a regulated financial institution authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
Payment and financial records are retained for 6 years as required by HMRC. Contact information is retained for as long as necessary to fulfil the service and is securely deleted thereafter upon request.

At Tech Menders UK, we treat every customer with respect and professionalism and ask that all customers extend the same courtesy to us.
Tech Menders UK reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service to any customer who is abusive, threatening, or who requests illegal work. Any completed work will still be chargeable in such cases.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
